PhotoWatercolour
With PhotoWatercolour Claus Pescha continues his exploration of photo painting and at the same time opens the door to new pictorial worlds. The works on display are reminiscent of watercolours in their effect: lines are lost in the horizon, forms dissolve, colours flow into one another as if painted by the sea itself.
The photographs were taken on the beaches of the North Sea island of Spiekeroog. In this landscape of vastness, light and movement, Pescha succeeds in transforming the documentary nature of photography into a poetic visual language. Instead of clear contours, moods are created - images that do not so much capture as suggest and, precisely because of this, open up space for personal feelings.
PhotoWatercolour invites visitors to slow down their gaze and engage with the fleeting. A state of suspension is created between photography and painting, in which only the poetry of the moment remains: timeless, changeable, open to what everyone wants to discover in it.
